The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) and the Faculty of Physician Associates (FPA) are seeking to appoint a number of individuals to the Physician Associate National Examination Question Paper Review Group (QPRG).
The physician associate national certification and recertification examinations (PANE) are developed and delivered by the assessment unit on behalf of the RCP, of which the Faculty of Physician Associates is part. The PA certification written examination currently takes place in three assessment periods annually and consists of a 200 single best answer written examination.
The QPRG has the responsibility to ensure that the written PA national and recertification examinations meet the required guidelines. The group offers members the opportunity to network with colleagues, keep knowledge up to date, take part in challenging discussions, and support the next generation of PAs.

Successful applicants must be a practising PA and have at least 3 years post-qualification experience. The group currently meets via six half-day meetings a year (one clinical review meeting and one standard-setting meeting per assessment period). Meetings are currently held virtually but will revert to face-to-face meetings in Liverpool when possible.
