How to Apply

1 If you are already a Student FPA member, login to your My RCP account and follow the steps to upgrade to become a qualified member of the FPA. Please do not create a new account.

If you’re not an FPA member, you will need to create a MyRCP account first. To do this visit the RCP website and click ‘join now’. You will then need to follow the steps to apply for physician associate membership.

2 Complete the online application form for FPA membership. Please note that you are required to answer all questions truthfully and honestly.

Please note: if you cannot remember your RCP code or if this is your first FPA membership and you do not yet have an RCP code, please leave this question field blank. Your RCP code will be confirmed upon successful approval of your membership.

Please ensure that you do not scan and upload a copy of your DBS certificate.

You will be required to provide the following documents for your application:

  • a copy of your in-date valid passport.
  • proof of your right to work in the UK where applicable.

If you do not have a passport or your passport is out of date and not valid, please contact us via [email protected] for assistance.

Please note applications can take up to two weeks to process from the date of application. If your application is incomplete or if any information is missing this may increase processing time.

Once you have submitted your application form, please do not attempt to complete another application form as this will only delay your approval and create duplicate accounts.
