The Faculty of Physician Associates – treasurer vacancy
The Faculty of Physician Associates (FPA) is recruiting a treasurer who will ensure accurate maintenance of the faculty’s finances in accordance with the systems and governance processes of the Royal College of Physicians (RCP).
The FPA Executive Board is led by a physician associate (PA) presidential team and supported by a team of skilled and dedicated PAs who work together to develop, campaign for and drive forward the PA profession. The newly appointed treasurer will be accountable to the RCP treasurer and Board of Trustees. This is a key role within an ever-growing team and comes at an exciting period of transition as the PA profession grows closer to achieving regulation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of tasks as detailed in the role description (downloadable below), and will be expected to provide regular financial updates to the RCP Board of Trustees and the FPA Executive Board.
A time commitment of 1 day per week is required for a period of 3 years. Candidates interested in applying are encouraged to ensure that they can commit to this requirement before submitting an application.

- are a qualified FPA member and listed on the PA Managed Voluntary Register
- have experience and an understanding of accounts and budgets
- have a thorough understanding of Microsoft Excel and related IT systems
- can commit to a 3-year, 1 day a week role.
The addition of an accounting qualification or equivalent and previous treasurer experience is desirable.
