May written examination cancelled due to COVID-19

In addition to our announcement this week that we are cancelling the scheduled PA National OSCE Examinations which were due to take place in May in Liverpool, we have also made the difficult decision to cancel the planned May written examination.

This was due to take place on Thursday 7 May 2020. Please understand this decision was not made lightly, but is necessary for the safety of our candidates and staff. We understand the considerable pressure this may put you under, but please be assured we are working with our stakeholders to agree a way forward for those candidates who would have sat the May exams, and are subsequently effected by this.

Information changes quickly and the FPA are working alongside the RCP who are working closely with the UK Government, NHS England and the devolved governments. Emergency preparedness at UK government and NHS England level is being shared with RCP president Professor Andrew Goddard, who will be able to advise the FPA as the situation changes.
